Having lived in multiple countries, and being raised in Belgrade I am totally fluent in Serbian. I can honestly say I am proud to now call Kitchener-Waterloo my home. Karen Barna – Sales Representative

I have been enjoying selling real estate in KW for the past 18 years. Over these years I have gained extensive knowledge and sales experience with new home construction and first time buyers. Providing top notch customer service has always been a priority of mine. I am pleased to be the newest member of the Mark Maurer team. We all work together as a family to move your family.  I am looking forward to serving the needs of our clients along side each and every one of our sales professionals on the team and our outstanding Customer support staff.  I completed the Business Management program at Sault College in 1983. The program gave me the learning tools I still use today in my real estate career. KW has always been a resilient market. Even in tough economic times, we have managed to weather the storm much better than many large communities in Ontario and Canada. There is such a diverse market of job opportunities here from technology to education to manufacturing, that we always manage to rebound from downturns in the market quickly. KW is also a very safe community for families to live in and offers a wide variety of things to do and see. We are also located within close proximity to several bigger cities without living in the hustle and bustle of a metropolis. I have been the recipient of many different sales awards in real estate in my 18 years. Most notably I am a member of the RE/Max Hall of Fame.  But I consider my biggest accomplishments to be my children and my satisfied clients. I enjoy golfing, bowling, decorating, crafts, music, cooking and entertaining. I don’t have one interest that I am passionate about, I just enjoy getting out and doing, learning new things, meeting new people and having fun. Mihaela Ciuciureanu – Sales Representative

Mihaela has more than 15 years of international business experience, with a vast background in mergers and acquisitions. She started a small family business 16 years ago, and managed all aspects of operations, including identifying opportunities and revenue growth. She grew the business into an organization of a 496-employee with multiple food factories. As Vice President she was always looking for ways to grow the business through strategic visioning, powerful marketing and advertising. She expanded the business, exporting throughout Europe and the USA. Related with the real estate, her team built and sold few food processing factories in accordance with European food market standards, and one factory was the largest and had the most advanced technology in south-east Europe.

Denise Bauman – Customer Care Specialist

Since June of 2008, I have been the Customer Care Specialist for the Mark Maurer Team. As a consummate professional in the Kitchener-Waterloo Real Estate Profession for over twenty six years, I discovered my passion early in life. Having worked with land development companies and residential construction firms, I enjoys every aspect of the Real Estate Industry. I am very passionate and take my Team responsibilities very, very seriously. I believe the Mark Maurer Team has the absolute best Home Selling Systems in existence today! Our Team's client-considerate approach to doing business keeps me excited and loving my job.

As a farm girl through and through, I live and breath the fabulous rural communities of the Waterloo Region. Through my hard work running the family farm for a decade when my father was ill, to being a mother of a teenage son, I try to give back to the Waterloo community in ways that reflect the nature and spirit of the region. As an avid gardener in my spare time, I'm always up for a challenge that is result-oriented, whether in business or in leisure. I'm grateful for my father's faith and trust in me when running the family business, and for the reassurance that he gave me, knowing that I can accomplish anything I put my mind to. Some days I remind myself: God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. Other days, I just make it happen.
